logoThe CE marking is a product certification. CE is a French acronym for “Conformite Europene” which in english means European Conformity. CE marks shown that the product has met EU health, safety & environmental requirement and also ensures consumer safety. It is mandatory for the products, which are to be placed in EU countries. If a product is not CE marked, it may be rejected at the port of entry. At present 31 Countries in EU ask for CE mark and other likely to ask for the same in the future.

The product requiring CE marking are toys, medical devices, machinery, electrical equipment, telecom, radio, electronics equipment, pressure equipment, construction products, gas appliance, In vitro diagnostics devices, lift personal protective equipments. There are about 25 directives which require to be referred to for CE Marking.
