FOOD SAFETY & STANDARD Act (FSSAI) Registration


logo To ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption, Government of India has introduce Food Safety & Standard Act 2006, which is applicable processed, partially processed or unprocessed, which is intended for human consumption and includes primary food, genetically modified or engineered food or food containing such ingredients, infant food, packaged drinking water, alcoholic drink, chewing gum, and any substance, including water used into the food during its manufacture, preparation or treatment

This act is applicable to Food Manufacturing Unit (Including Dairy, Vegetable Oil, slaughtering Unit), Meet processing Unit, Food Exporter, Food Importer, Food Business Operator like Storage, Frozen Storage, Wholesaler, Retailer, Distributor, supplier, Caterer, Restaurant, Dhaba, Club, Canteen, Packer, Repacker, Relabeller , Food Ingredient, Marketer.

All Food Business Operator has to get Registered/licenses with food Safety Authority

State Level Registration/Licenses
The entity who want operate the business at a single state, small manufacturing capacity & Sales turnover has to registered local state level Food safety & Standard Authority

Central Level Registration/Licenses
A The entity who want to operate the business two or more than two state & not applicable to state level due to Manufacturing Capacity or Sales turnover has to registered central level Food safety & Standard Authority
